A FOUNDATION OF FAITH
The St. John Vianney Foundation is a charitable organization affiliated with St. John Vianney parish, commissioned to support a high quality Catholic educational system within the parish and to support families in meeting the tuition costs associated with sending their children to the parish school.
History of the Foundation
On October 14, 1986, with the support of a major gift restricted to educational programs at the parish, the St. John Vianney Foundation was created as a free standing, non parish fund to support a high quality Catholic educational system in the parish, and to support parishioner families in meeting the tuition costs associated with sending their children to the parish school. The Foundation was structured to receive and invest monetary and real estate gifts so that the accrued interest would be available to support the educational programs of the parish. All initial gifts were invested and within two years the Foundation shared the announcement of its initial four grants at all Masses on September 18, 1988.
A Call to Faith
Since its inception, the Foundation has sought and received gifts that have grown the corpus of the Foundation to nearly $1 million. While the generosity of the parish has produced a meaningful base for the Foundation to make smaller annual grants to support the educational programs of the parish, more and more parents voiced concern over their ability to meet rising tuition costs. To ensure the parishes future ability to support all forms of Catholic education within our parish community we have begun a capital campaign to grow the foundation and by extension the faith of our parish as well. Please take some time to explore this website to learn more about the foundation, its available funds and their purposes and the Renewing the Spirit campaign. We hope that you will see the importance of the foundation to the future of our faith community and choose to support our efforts.
